QUESTION | ANSWER |
What software do you use? | We’ve developed some proprietary software, combined with many years experience, to prepare our drawing packages. |
Can I get the CAD file instead of a PDF? | No. We do not have an original source CAD file for our completed packages. |
Do your drawings meet my local AHJ requirements? | We produce thousands of drawings for our customers across North America and we’ve never been told the AHJ won’t accept our package layout or format. In fact, several jurisdictions either highly recommend or require our drawing packages as their local standard. This even includes some of the more “challenging” jurisdictions like NYC, Las Vegas and Colorado Springs. But we can always customize the format to what you need or want. |
Can I get a different page size? | Absolutely! Most drawings are 8.5 x 11 or 11 x 17, but we can format to any size you need. |
Will you “design” the system for me? | Not usually since you’re the one on-site and responsible for doing a proper hazard assessment. You are always the “designer of record” and we are simply providing a drawing service. But we generally don’t require any more information than what’s requested on our layout and order forms. In the event you need some additional help, feel free to contact us and we may be able to assist for an additional fee. |
Are your drawings to scale? | Not as a default. If you or your AHJ requires scaled drawings, be sure to note that on your order form and we can do it for an additional fee. |
Do I have to pay with a credit card? | Yup! In order to keep our pricing low and focus our efforts on producing your drawings, all drawing charges are Cash on Demand (COD). |
Do your people have experience designing systems? | You can read about our owners on the About Us page, but all our drafters have several years experience designing, installing, servicing, and even selling these systems. Most of us still do! |
Why don’t you put your logo or names on your drawings? | It’s simple. We’re here to make YOU look good to your customer and AHJ. Obviously we want everyone in the fire protection industry to know who we are, but your customer doesn’t need to know. 🙂 |
